Products and availability

What we trade, and how to find out whether we can supply it.

What agricultural commodities do you supply?

We trade across 7 categories: cereals, legumes & pulses, oilseeds, cash crops, spices, animal feed materials, and fresh fruits & vegetables. Within each category the specific commodities and grades we can offer at any time depend on the season and on current stock, so it is always worth sending us your requirement rather than assuming a line is unavailable.

Is everything available all year round?

No. Agricultural supply is seasonal. Some commodities are available for most of the year from stored stock, while others are tied closely to the harvest calendar of the growing region. Availability for your requested volume and delivery window is confirmed at quotation stage.

Can you supply a commodity that is not listed on the website?

Ask us. Our sourcing network covers a wider range than the headline categories suggest, and we also carry out procurement to buyer specification. If we cannot supply something reliably at the quality you need, we will say so rather than take the order.

What quality grades do you offer?

Grading depends on the commodity and on the parameters that matter for it — typically things such as moisture content, foreign matter, broken or damaged material, size and colour uniformity. Tell us the specification you need and we will confirm whether we can meet it, and at what grade, when we quote.

Where do your commodities come from?

We source from farmers, cooperatives and suppliers across Tanzania's agricultural regions, aggregating produce through our own intake and quality-control process before it is cleaned, graded, packed and dispatched.

Order quantities and lead times

How much you need to order, and how long an order takes.

What is your minimum order quantity?

Minimum order quantity varies by commodity, by grade and by packaging format — a printed retail pack and a bulk export lot are very different propositions. We do not publish a blanket MOQ because it would be misleading. The applicable minimum for your requirement is confirmed at quotation stage.

Can you supply full container loads?

Container-load supply is part of our export service, and container stuffing, sealing and pre-shipment inspection are handled at origin. Whether a given commodity and grade can be supplied in the volume and timeframe you need is confirmed when we quote.

What lead time should I plan for?

Lead time depends on the commodity, whether it is in stock or has to be aggregated, the packaging format, and whether private-label printing is involved. Printed private-label packaging in particular adds artwork approval and print time ahead of packing. We give you a realistic lead time with the quotation rather than an optimistic one at enquiry.

Do you handle repeat and contract supply?

Yes — contract supply and scheduled repeat shipments are part of what we do, and planning ahead usually improves both availability and consistency. The terms of any supply agreement are negotiated and confirmed in writing.

Packaging and labelling

Pack formats, materials and private-label options.

What packaging options are available?

We pack from small retail sizes through to bulk sacks, using woven polypropylene, laminated constructions and food-grade materials depending on the product, the journey and the destination market. Tell us who the end user is and we will recommend a suitable format.

Can you pack under our own brand?

Yes. Private labelling is available: you supply print-ready artwork and we print and pack to it, within the technical limits of the material and the print process. Minimum quantities for private-label runs are higher than for standard packaging and are confirmed at quotation stage.

Who is responsible for meeting destination labelling requirements?

Labelling rules differ by country and by product — language, net weight, origin, batch identification, dating and importer details are commonly regulated. We agree responsibility for confirming those requirements explicitly and in writing with each buyer before printing begins, because getting it wrong at destination is expensive for both sides.

Can packaging be customised for a specific market?

Within reason, yes — pack size, material, print and language can all be adapted. What is practical for a particular order is confirmed when we quote.

Samples and quality assurance

How to verify what you will receive before you commit.

Can I request a sample before ordering?

Samples are available for genuine commercial enquiries, subject to the commodity, the quantity requested and the destination — some markets restrict the import of plant material even in sample quantities. Sample availability, courier arrangements and who bears the cost are confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

How do you control quality?

Quality control runs from intake through to dispatch: incoming deliveries are inspected and tested before acceptance, produce is cleaned, sorted and graded to the intended specification, batches are identified so they can be traced, and storage is managed for hygiene and pest control. Pre-shipment sampling and inspection are carried out before dispatch.

Can an independent inspection company verify the consignment?

Yes. Many buyers appoint a third-party inspection company to verify quality, weight and loading at origin, and we work with nominated inspectors as a matter of routine. Who appoints and pays for the inspection is a commercial point agreed between buyer and seller.

What happens if a consignment does not match the agreed specification?

Raise it with us with supporting evidence — inspection reports, photographs and sample retention all help. How claims are handled, including any inspection and notification periods, is set out in the terms agreed for the specific order.

Export, documentation and Incoterms

What is involved in shipping from Tanzania.

Do you export, and to which markets?

Yes, export is a core part of the business. Which destinations we can serve for a specific commodity depends on the import requirements of that market and on the practicalities of the route, both of which we confirm with you before quoting.

Which Incoterms do you trade on?

We can discuss terms across the commonly used range, from ex-works through to cost-and-freight and cost-insurance-and-freight arrangements. The Incoterms rule that applies to your order — and therefore who carries which cost and risk — is agreed and confirmed at quotation stage, not assumed.

What documentation is provided with an export shipment?

The document set depends on the commodity, the destination and the agreed terms, but typically includes a commercial invoice and packing list, a certificate of origin, a phytosanitary certificate for plant products, a fumigation certificate where required, quality and weight certificates, and the transport document. The exact set for your shipment is confirmed at quotation and contracting stage.

Do I need an import permit at destination?

Very often, yes — and import permits, product registrations and plant-health requirements can have long lead times. Confirming what your own market requires is your responsibility as importer, and we recommend starting that check early. We will supply the origin-side documentation needed to support it.

Do you arrange freight?

We coordinate logistics to the agreed delivery point, including inland transport, container stuffing and delivery to the port of loading. Whether ocean freight sits with us or with you depends on the Incoterms agreed for the order.

Pricing, payment and getting a quotation

How to get a firm offer, and what happens next.

How do I request a quotation?

Use the Request a Quotation form, or contact our sales team by telephone, email or WhatsApp. The more precise your enquiry, the faster and more useful our response will be.

What information should I include in my enquiry?

Commodity and grade, quantity, packaging format, destination port or city, your required delivery window, and the Incoterms you want to trade on. If you have a written specification or an existing supplier's specification sheet, send that too.

Why are prices not published on the website?

Agricultural commodity prices move with the season, the harvest, freight rates and exchange rates, and they vary with grade, volume, packaging and destination. A published price would be out of date almost immediately and would not reflect your actual order, so pricing is quoted per enquiry.

What payment terms do you offer?

Payment terms are a commercial matter agreed per order and per customer, and they are discussed as part of the quotation and contracting process. We are happy to talk through the arrangements commonly used in international commodity trade and what would work for your transaction.

How quickly will I get a response?

Our team aims to acknowledge enquiries promptly during business hours. Where an enquiry requires us to check current availability with our sourcing team before responding, we will tell you that rather than leave you waiting.

I am a farmer or supplier, not a buyer. How do I work with you?

We are always interested in reliable growers, cooperatives and suppliers. Register your details through the supplier page and our sourcing team will be in touch about the commodities, grades and volumes we are currently buying.
