What this website stores on your device, why it is stored, and how to accept, decline or change your choice at any time.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how www.ibsagro.co.tz uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
We keep this deliberately minimal. This is a corporate website for a commodity trading business: we do not run advertising, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not share what we measure with advertising networks.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store, and which the browser sends back on later visits. Local storage works in a similar way: it keeps a small value on your device, but the value is read by the website in your browser rather than sent automatically with every request.
Both are used to remember things between pages and visits — such as whether you have already answered the cookie banner — and, in the case of analytics, to recognise a returning browser so that visits are not double-counted. Your language choice is remembered in a cookie rather than in local storage, because the server has to know which language to serve before the page is built. In this policy we use “cookies” to mean both, unless we say otherwise.
3. The categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the website to work, to serve each page in the language you chose, and to record your privacy choices. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot remember that you declined anything. They do not identify you.
- Preferences. Remember choices you make so you do not have to set them again. We currently set none beyond the language cookie listed below, which is classed as strictly necessary because no page can be served without knowing which language to use.
- Analytics. Help us understand which pages and commodities visitors look at, so we can improve the site. These are only set if you accept. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics technology is loaded at all — the script is never added to the page.
We do not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies on this website.

This table must be re-verified before launch, and updated whenever a new script, embedded map or embedded video is added to the website.
Our hosting provider may also set short-lived technical cookies that are required to serve and secure the site. These carry no marketing function.
5. Your choice and how to change it
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Nothing optional is loaded before you answer:
- Accept — analytics is enabled and your choice is remembered.
- Decline — nothing optional is loaded, now or on later visits. Only the strictly necessary items above are used.
You can change your mind at any time. Clearing your browser’s cookies and site data for www.ibsagro.co.tz removes both the stored analytics choice and the stored language, so the banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, usually under privacy or site settings. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear the data for a single site. Blocking everything may stop parts of this or other websites working as intended — in our case, the site will still work, but it will forget your language and your cookie choice.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so we do not rely on it. Instead, we simply do not load any analytics unless you have actively accepted.
8. Third-party content
Where we embed content from another provider — for example a location map or a video — that provider may set its own cookies when the content loads, and its own privacy and cookie policies will apply. We list any such embeds in the table above.
The only such embed on this website is the location map on our contact page, and it does not load by itself. Nothing is requested from Google until you press “Show map”; if you never press it, that page makes no connection to Google Maps at all.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the technologies we use change. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
