What the vision commits us to

A vision statement is only useful if it can be tested against day-to-day decisions. These are the four tests the company applies to its own.

  • Trusted

    Trust is earned transaction by transaction: an accurate specification, the grade that was agreed, documents that are correct first time, and a straight answer when something goes wrong.

  • African in scope

    The ambition is measured against the continent's agricultural trading houses, not only against the domestic market, which sets the standard the company holds itself to.

  • Premium Tanzanian produce

    Tanzanian agriculture is the source of everything the company sells. The work is to prepare and present that produce so it competes on quality rather than on price alone.

    Buy at origin against a written specification and a known price.

  • Supply

    Hold and release stock so that buyers receive volume when they need it.

  • Process

    Clean, sort and grade produce before it is offered for sale.

  • Package

    Pack to the buyer's format, including private-label packaging.

  • Deliver

    Move the consignment to the agreed delivery point with the correct documents.
