Establishment and development
IBS Agro Trading Limited was established as a Tanzanian agricultural trading company to connect the country’s farms with buyers who need dependable volume and a consistent, verifiable grade. The business has developed along the chain it started in: buying at origin, then preparing and packing what it buys, then distributing and exporting it.
From domestic supply of staple cereals and pulses, the company has grown into processing and packaging, then into export, and now trades across 7 product groups with buyers in Tanzania, East Africa and international markets.

2012
Establishment
IBS Agro Trading Limited was incorporated in Tanzania to source, aggregate and supply staple cereals and pulses to the domestic trade.

Regular supply arrangements were established with wholesalers and food processors across the domestic market, trading rice and beans.

Processing and packaging capability
Cleaning, sorting, grading and packing capability was established, adding retail and bulk packaging alongside raw commodity supply.

First export shipment
The first export consignment of Tanzanian commodities was shipped, and the export side of the business has grown steadily from there.
